Comparison review
The Xperia 1 II is slightly better than Huawei P40 Pro, having a 91 score against 88.2. The Xperia 1 II is a somewhat thinner and lighter cellphone than the Huawei P40 Pro, although both of them were released with only a couple months difference. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but Xperia 1 II has newer 11 version while Huawei P40 Pro has Android 10, providing you a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks.
The Xperia 1 II counts with a processing unit that is just as good as Huawei P40 Pro's processing unit, both have the same RAM amount and 8 processing cores. Sony Xperia 1 II counts with a bit more vivid display than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better pixel amount in each inch in the display and a higher 1644 x 3840 resolution.
The Huawei P40 Pro counts with a way better camera than Xperia 1 II, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a camera with a much higher resolution and a lot bigger camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
The Xperia 1 II features much more storage to store more games and applications than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 1000 GB and 128 GB more internal storage capacity. The Huawei P40 Pro features a bit better battery duration than Xperia 1 II, because it has a 5% larger battery size.
