Comparison review
Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is slightly better than Huawei P40 Pro's global score of 88.2. Xperia 1 III's design is newer, somewhat lighter and a bit thinner than Huawei P40 Pro. Both of these phones use Android OS, but the Xperia 1 III has the newer 11 version and Huawei P40 Pro has Android 10, counting with a couple nice extra features and better performance.
Sony Xperia 1 III has just a little better processing power than Huawei P40 Pro, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xperia 1 III features a bit more vivid display than Huawei P40 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater number of pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1644 x 3840.
Huawei P40 Pro captures much better videos and photos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has worse 60 fps video frame rate and a smaller aperture which is not so good for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a lot bigger sensor shooting way better quality videos and photographs and a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a much greater memory to install games and applications than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage. Xperia 1 III has a little better battery duration than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4200mAh.
