Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is slightly better than the Google Pixel 2 XL, getting an 86.4 score against 82.5. Huawei P40's construction has the same weight than the Google Pixel 2 XL, but it's just a little bit thicker. The Huawei P40 has a bit more powerful processor than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei P40 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a little sharper display than Huawei P40, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and a better screen density. Huawei P40 and Google Pixel 2 XL count with quite similar memory capacity for apps and games, both have exactly the same internal memory.
Huawei P40 has just a little better battery performance than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 3800mAh battery size against 3520mAh. The Huawei P40 counts with a way better camera than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a way bigger sensor capturing way better quality photographs, faster 60 frames per second video frame rate and a camera with much more MP.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 2 XL. If you want to save some money, you can get the Google Pixel 2 XL, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
