Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G is just a bit better than Huawei P40, having an 87.5 score against 86.4. Both phones in our current comparison have Android operating system, but the Google Pixel 4a 5G has the newer 11 version and Huawei P40 has Android 10 version. The Google Pixel 4a 5G is a just a little thinner and a little lighter cellphone than the Huawei P40, even when they were released with only a few months difference.
Huawei P40 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Pixel 4a 5G. Both have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM. Huawei P40 features a little sharper display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
Google Pixel 4a 5G's memory to store more games and applications is very similar to Huawei P40's one, both have equal internal storage. Huawei P40 features a better camera than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with a lot better resolution.
Google Pixel 4a 5G features a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has a 3885mAh battery size.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Google Pixel 4a 5G, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P40, letting go some features and specifications.
