Comparison review
Huawei P40 has a score of 86.4, which is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20's 79.5 general score. Huawei P40's design has the same thickness than the Huawei Mate 20, but it is a little lighter. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 has 10 version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Huawei P40 features a bit better performance than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 also has more RAM memory. Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a bit better screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 2244 resolution and a just a bit worse pixel number per display inch, it also counts with a little bit bigger screen.
Huawei P40 has a very superior camera than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photos, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a lot larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a back camera with a way better resolution and better 60 frames per second video frame rates.
The Huawei Mate 20 has as much storage for apps and games as Huawei P40, both have equal internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Even being the best phone in this comparison, the Huawei P40 is also a bargain compared to others.
