Comparison review
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is a bit better than the Huawei P40, having a 90.5 score against 86.4. Both of these phones include the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect. Even being the best in our current comparison, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G design is just a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier than Huawei P40.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G counts with a CPU that is just as good as the CPU in Huawei P40, and although the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has more RAM, they both have 8 processing cores. The Huawei P40 has a little more vivid display than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because although it has a little smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a bit higher screen pixels density.
Huawei P40 takes slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a more MP back camera and a much bigger back camera sensor shooting much better quality photos.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G counts with a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Huawei P40, because it has 256 GB internal memory. Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G features just a bit better battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 3800mAh.
