Comparison review
The Huawei P40 has an overall score of 86.4, which is much better than the Huawei Mate 8's 77.4 overall score. The Huawei P40 construction is newer and a little bit lighter, but also just a little bit thicker than Huawei Mate 8. The Huawei P40 has a bit superior processing unit than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Huawei P40 features a slightly better display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a little bit better display pixels density, a bit higher 1080 x 2340px resolution and a little larger screen. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Huawei P40, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 128 GB.
Huawei P40 features a way better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a way higher (4K) video quality, a much more mega pixels back camera and a larger aperture to capture better low light captures and video. The Huawei Mate 8 features a bit superior battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Huawei P40 is not only the best phones in our comparison, but it's also a lot cheaper.
