Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X2 is a little bit better than the Huawei P40, having an 89.1 score against 86.4. Both devices we compare here come with the same Android 10 operating system. The Huawei Mate X2 is a newer and just a little thinner device than Huawei P40, but it's much heavier. Huawei Mate X2 counts with a display that's just as good as Huawei P40's screen, because although the Huawei Mate X2 has a little inferior pixel number in each inch in the screen, it also counts with a much higher 2200 x 2480 resolution and a really bigger screen.
Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate X2 has a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The Huawei Mate X2 counts with a little better battery duration than Huawei P40, because it has an 18% bigger battery size. Huawei P40 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate X2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a back facing camera with a 50 mega pixels and the same camera aperture, the Huawei P40 also has faster 60 fps video frame rates.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P40, letting go some specifications.
