Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is slightly better than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, getting an 86.4 score against 85.9. Both of these devices work with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that. The Huawei P40 design has the same thickness than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, but it's just a bit lighter.
Huawei P40 has just a bit better display than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a bit greater pixel count per display inch. Huawei P40 has a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Huawei P30 Pro New Edition has a lot bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei P40, because it has 256 GB internal memory. Huawei P30 Pro New Edition has a bit better battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 3800mAh. Huawei P40 features just a bit better camera than Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting images or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a better 50 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, a much larger sensor taking much better quality videos and photographs and higher video frame rate.
