Comparison review
LG Velvet has a general score of 87.1, which is slightly better than Huawei P40's global score of 86.4. LG Velvet's body is a little bit thinner but just a bit heavier than the Huawei P40, and both of them were released with only 1 months difference. Huawei P40 has a little bit better looking display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it also counts with a just a little higher pixels density.
The LG Velvet features a much bigger memory to store more games and applications than Huawei P40, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the LG Velvet also has a SD card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Huawei P40 counts with just a little better performance than LG Velvet. They have 6 GB of RAM and 8 cores.
Huawei P40 captures a bit better photographs and videos than LG Velvet, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with higher 60 fps video frame rates, a lot larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a more megapixels back-facing camera.
LG Velvet has a bit superior battery duration than Huawei P40, because it has a 13% bigger battery size.
Although LG Velvet is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the LG Velvet, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei P40, resigning some specs and features.
