Comparison review
Motorola edge is a bit better than Huawei P40, getting a score of 89.6 against 86.4. Motorola edge's construction is just a little bit heavier and thicker than Huawei P40. Both of these phones have the same Android 10 operating system, so both of them should provide you all the same operating system features.
The Huawei P40 has a little sharper display than Motorola edge, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2340px resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of screen. Huawei P40 has just a little better performance than Motorola edge. They have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM memory.
Motorola edge counts with a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB and more internal memory. The Motorola edge has a bit superior battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3800mAh.
The Huawei P40 counts with just a bit better camera than Motorola edge, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low-light captures, a worse video quality and a way less mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a way bigger sensor shooting lot higher quality videos and photographs.
Although Motorola edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Huawei P40, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
