Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is better than OnePlus 8 UW, having a global score of 86.4 against 75.9. These phones come with the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that. The Huawei P40 body is just a bit lighter but just a little bit thicker than the OnePlus 8 UW, and both were only released 1 months apart.
The OnePlus 8 UW has a processor that is very similar to the processor in Huawei P40, and although the OnePlus 8 UW has 2 GB more RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The OnePlus 8 UW features a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a quite lower pixel density, it also counts with a quite larger display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px.
Huawei P40 has a slightly better camera than OnePlus 8 UW, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 also counts with a back facing camera with a higher 50 megapixels resolution and a much bigger camera sensor capturing lot higher quality pictures and videos.
OnePlus 8 UW counts with as much memory capacity for applications and games as Huawei P40, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity. OnePlus 8 UW has a bit better battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity against 3800mAh.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Huawei P40 is also by far the cheapest, making this phone a no doubt choice.
