Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than Huawei P40, having a global score of 87 against 86.4. Even being the best phone in our current comparison, Samsung Galaxy A42's construction is just a little thicker and a bit heavier than the Huawei P40. Both phones in this comparison come with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version and Huawei P40 has Android 10, so it counts with lots of additional features.
Huawei P40 features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei P40 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei P40 has a sharper display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch of display and a way better 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
Galaxy A42 counts with a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei P40, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Galaxy A42 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. Galaxy A42 features longer battery duration than Huawei P40, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
The Huawei P40 captures a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy A42, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with faster video frame rates and a back camera with more mega pixels.
