Galaxy A71 has a global score of 87.5, which is slightly better than Huawei P40's overall score of 86.4. Although Galaxy A71 and Huawei P40 were released with only 2 months difference, the Galaxy A71 design is just a bit heavier but just a bit thinner. These devices work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A71 has the newer 11 version while Huawei P40 has Android 10, counting with a lot of extra features and some performance improvements.
The Huawei P40 features just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A71. They have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 cores. The Huawei P40 has a slightly better display than Galaxy A71, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher pixels quantity per inch of screen.
Samsung Galaxy A71 counts with a camera that's very similar to the camera in Huawei P40, because although the Samsung Galaxy A71 has a much tinier sensor and worse 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, it also counts with a camera in the back with way more mega pixels and a bigger aperture to capture better images and video in low-light situations.
The Galaxy A71 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Huawei P40, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A71 also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy A71 features a little longer battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has an 18 percent more battery size.
Although Galaxy A71 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy A71, otherwise you can save some money and get the Huawei P40, letting go a couple specifications.
