Huawei P40 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Note8, getting a overall score of 86.4 against 83. Huawei P40's construction is newer, somewhat lighter and a bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note8. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but Huawei P40 has 10 version and Samsung Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P40, because it has a bit higher pixels density, a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a quite bigger display. Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a little bit better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei P40, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
Huawei P40 counts with a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note8. They have 8 cpu cores and 6 GB of RAM. The Huawei P40 has a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Note8, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity. Huawei P40 captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much bigger sensor shooting lot better quality videos and pictures, faster video frame rates and a much better 50 megapixels resolution camera in the back.
