Comparison review
Galaxy S20 is a bit better than Huawei P40, with a 94.8 score against 86.4. Even though Galaxy S20 and the Huawei P40 were only released with a couple of months difference, Galaxy S20 is a bit lighter and just a little thinner. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy S20 has a newer 13 version and Huawei P40 has Android 10, providing some additional features and performance enhancements.
Galaxy S20 has a little more vivid display than Huawei P40, because it has a little bit larger display, a better display density and a better 1440 x 3200 resolution. Samsung Galaxy S20 features a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei P40, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy S20 also has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Galaxy S20 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei P40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S20 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy S20 counts with a bit superior battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has a 5 percent bigger battery capacity. The Huawei P40 takes much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S20, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low light photography and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels, a way larger sensor capturing way better quality photographs and videos and faster video frame rate.
Although Samsung Galaxy S20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P40. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Huawei P40, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
