Comparison review
Huawei P40 is just a bit better than Galaxy S8, getting an 86.4 score against 81.7. The Huawei P40 is a a lot newer phone than Galaxy S8, but it is a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a little sharper display than Huawei P40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a higher pixel number in each display inch.
Galaxy S8 has a bit bigger storage to store more games and applications than Huawei P40, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Huawei P40 has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P40 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Huawei P40 has greater battery life than Galaxy S8, because it has a 27 percent bigger battery size. Huawei P40 shoots much better videos and photos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photographs and videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much better resolution camera in the back, a much larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality and faster 60 fps video frame rates.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy S8, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
