Comparison review
Huawei P40 has an overall score of 86.4, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S9's general score of 83.3. The Huawei P40 is a a bit heavier device than the Samsung Galaxy S9, but both have the same thickness. Galaxy S9 counts with just a bit better looking display than Huawei P40, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and more pixels per inch of screen.
The Huawei P40 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy S9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P40 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy S9 features a bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB.
Huawei P40 features a much better camera than Galaxy S9, because although it has a lot smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much better 50 MP resolution back-facing camera and a way larger sensor capturing lot higher quality pictures and videos.
The Huawei P40 has superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has a 3800mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei P40, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S9, giving up a couple features and specifications.
