Huawei P40 has a global score of 86.4, which is slightly better than Xiaomi 12's overall score of 78.8. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but the Huawei P40 has 10 version while Xiaomi 12 has Android 12. Despite of the fact Huawei P40 is older and just a little bit thicker than Xiaomi 12, it's construction is still a bit lighter.
Huawei P40 features a way better performance than Xiaomi 12, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. The Xiaomi 12 features a slightly better screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a little bit worse pixel number per inch in the screen, it also counts with a bit higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a quite larger display.
The Xiaomi 12 counts with a bit better camera than Huawei P40, because although it has a smaller sensor which offers a worse image and video quality, and they both have the same camera aperture and a 50 megapixels camera in the back, the Xiaomi 12 also counts with a way higher video definition. Xiaomi 12 counts with as much storage capacity to store more apps and games as Huawei P40, both have the same internal memory.
The Xiaomi 12 features just a bit better battery life than Huawei P40, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3800mAh.
