Comparison review
Huawei P40 has a score of 86.4, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus's 78.1 overall score. Although Huawei P40 is notably newer than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, it's just a little heavier and just a little bit thicker. These devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 has 10 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a little bit better screen than Huawei P40, although it has a little worse count of pixels per display inch, a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little bit smaller display. Huawei P40 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM memory, the Huawei P40 also has more cpu cores.
The Huawei P40 features a very superior camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei P40 also has a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a camera with a way higher 50 megapixels resolution, better 60 fps video frame rates and a bigger diafragm aperture.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus's storage capacity to install applications and games is just as good as Huawei P40's one, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus's battery life is very similar to Huawei P40's battery duration.
