Google Pixel 2 has a score of 81.6, which is much better than the Huawei P8max's 72.1 score. The Google Pixel 2 body is way newer and way lighter than the Huawei P8max's, but it's somewhat thicker. Google Pixel 2 has just a bit better performance than Huawei P8max, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Google Pixel 2 also has 1 GB more RAM.
