IPhone 12 mini is a little bit better than LG G8 ThinQ, getting an 88.5 score against 84.3. IPhone 12 mini's construction is newer, somewhat thinner and lighter than the LG G8 ThinQ. IPhone 12 mini comes with iOS 14.x OS, and LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie OS. The iPhone 12 mini counts with a faster CPU than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has less processing cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
IPhone 12 mini has a display that's just as good as the LG G8 ThinQ one, because although the iPhone 12 mini has a quite smaller screen, a little bit lower pixel density and a way worse resolution of 1080 x 2340, it also counts with a really brighter screen. The LG G8 ThinQ has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than iPhone 12 mini, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory capacity.
LG G8 ThinQ features a much longer battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 12 mini, because it has a 3500mAh battery size. LG G8 ThinQ has a bit better camera than iPhone 12 mini, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a 12 mega pixels resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a larger camera aperture for better low light photos and videos.
Although Apple iPhone 12 mini is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G8 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG G8 ThinQ. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Apple iPhone 12 mini, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the LG G8 ThinQ, giving up a couple specs and features.
