The Galaxy S III is much better than LG Spectrum, getting a score of 70.8 against 60.2. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S III has the newer 4.1.2 version and LG Spectrum has Android 4.0.4 version, so it gives you a lot of extra features. Galaxy S III's construction is thinner and a bit lighter than LG Spectrum, although both were only released with a couple of months difference.
LG Spectrum has a bit sharper display than Galaxy S III, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, the LG Spectrum also counts with a quite higher display pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy S III features a lot bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than LG Spectrum, because it has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB and 12 GB more internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy S III has just a bit better performance than LG Spectrum, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy S III also has an additional graphics processing unit and a larger amount of RAM memory. Galaxy S III shoots much clearer pictures and videos than LG Spectrum, although it has a smaller camera aperture, they both have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video definition and a same resolution back facing camera.
The Galaxy S III has a bit better battery performance than LG Spectrum, because it has a 15% more battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, the Galaxy S III is also the cheapest, making it a simple decision.
