Sony Xperia 5 has a general score of 81, which is a little bit better than the LG V20's general score of 77. Although the Sony Xperia 5 is a little bit thicker than LG V20, it's just a little lighter and much newer. Xperia 5 counts with just a bit better performance than LG V20, because it has a higher number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
The LG V20 features a slightly better display than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display. LG V20 features a little bit better memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1,95 TB.
The LG V20 features a bit better battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh. LG V20 has a slightly better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller sensor capturing less light and dull colors and a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting images or video in low light situations, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the LG V20 also counts with a way more MP back facing camera.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the LG V20, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG V20. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get LG V20, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
