Galaxy M31s is better than LG V30, with an 88 score against 79.1. Even though the Galaxy M31s is incredibly newer than LG V30, it's much heavier and way thicker. The Samsung Galaxy M31s and LG V30 feature quite similar CPUs, and although the Samsung Galaxy M31s has 2 GB more RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The LG V30 has a little more vivid display than Galaxy M31s, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2880px and a better count of pixels per inch in the display. Samsung Galaxy M31s shoots a lot better videos and photos than LG V30, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting photographs or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also counts with a lot more megapixels back-facing camera and a way larger sensor taking much higher quality pictures and videos.
The LG V30 has a bit more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M31s, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. The Galaxy M31s features a much longer battery lifetime than LG V30, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
