The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has an overall score of 81.9, which is a little bit better than the LG V40 ThinQ's 81.2 global score. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's body is older, noticeably thicker and somewhat heavier than LG V40 ThinQ. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a bit more vivid screen than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a little smaller display and a little bit worse 1440 x 2960 resolution, it also counts with a little greater pixels quantity in each inch of screen.
The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a much better memory for games and applications than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have equal internal memory, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the LG V40 ThinQ also has more RAM.
The Galaxy S8 Active features better battery life than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has a 21% bigger battery size. The LG V40 ThinQ shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller sensor taking less light and duller colors, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same resolution camera, the LG V40 ThinQ also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better captures and videos in low-light situations and higher video frame rates.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it costs more than the LG V40 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the LG V40 ThinQ. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy S8 Active, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the LG V40 ThinQ, resigning a couple specs and features.
