The Xperia XZ2 Premium is just a bit better than LG V40 ThinQ, getting an 82.2 score against 81.2. Even being the best phone in this review, Xperia XZ2 Premium is an extremely heavier and notably thicker phone than the LG V40 ThinQ. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a processing unit that is just as good as the processor in LG V40 ThinQ, they have 8 CPU cores and 6 GB of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a better looking screen than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a greater pixel density and a higher 2160 x 3840 resolution. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium takes slightly better videos and photos than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for taking photographs in poorly lited situations and lower 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a larger camera sensor which provides a better image and video quality and a camera with a way better 19 megapixels resolution.

The LG V40 ThinQ features a very superior storage to install games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a SD card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a bit better battery duration than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG V40 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG V40 ThinQ. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save some dollars and get the LG V40 ThinQ, giving up a couple features and specs.
