The LG V50 ThinQ has a global score of 83.7, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2's 79.1 general score. LG V50 ThinQ's design is newer, notably thinner and a little bit lighter than Sony Xperia XZ2. The LG V50 ThinQ has a bit better processor than Sony Xperia XZ2, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the LG V50 ThinQ also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a screen that's very similar to the LG V50 ThinQ one, although the Sony Xperia XZ2 has a little smaller screen, a bit worse screen pixel density and a way worse resolution of 1080 x 2160. The LG V50 ThinQ features a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia XZ2, because it has 64 GB more internal memory and an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.

LG V50 ThinQ features improved battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3180mAh. The Xperia XZ2 captures a bit better pictures and videos than LG V50 ThinQ, because although it has a lot smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more megapixels and a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
