Comparison review
LG Velvet is better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, having an 87.1 score against 78.7. The LG Velvet design is noticeably newer than Huawei Mate 9 Pro's, although it is just a little heavier and a bit thicker. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a little more vivid display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater number of pixels per inch in the screen and a little bit higher 1440 x 2560 resolution.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's CPU is just as good as the processor in LG Velvet, both have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM. The LG Velvet has a much better storage for applications and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the LG Velvet also has an external memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB.
The LG Velvet features a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has an 8% more battery size. The LG Velvet features a much better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the LG Velvet also has a much bigger back camera sensor taking way higher quality videos and pictures, a back-facing camera with way more megapixels and a bigger diafragm aperture.
The LG Velvet is not only the best phones between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also by far the cheapest, making it an easy decision.
