The Huawei Mate X is a little bit better than LG Velvet, getting a global score of 89.4 against 87.1. Huawei Mate X is a much thicker and heavier phone than LG Velvet. Huawei Mate X features a bit superior processing unit than LG Velvet, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate X also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Huawei Mate X has a little more vivid display than LG Velvet, because it has a bigger display, a just a little greater display density and a lot higher 2200 x 2480px resolution. Huawei Mate X has a bit more memory for apps and games than LG Velvet, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Huawei Mate X counts with just a bit better battery life than LG Velvet, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4300mAh. LG Velvet shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a tinier sensor capturing less light and duller colors, and they both have a same size camera aperture, the LG Velvet also counts with a camera in the back with more mega-pixels.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than LG Velvet, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG Velvet. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, else you can save a couple dollars and get the LG Velvet, resigning some features and specifications.
