Comparison review

The LG Velvet is a little bit better than the LG G8 ThinQ, getting an 87.1 score against 84.3. LG Velvet is a newer and just a little thinner cellphone than LG G8 ThinQ, although it is just a bit heavier. The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a bit better hardware performance than LG Velvet. Both have 8 cores and 6 GB of RAM.

LG G8 ThinQ counts with a sharper display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 3120 resolution and a greater screen density. LG Velvet features a better camera than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for taking images and videos in low light situations and slower video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the LG Velvet also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor providing a much higher image quality and a camera with much more mega-pixels.

LG G8 ThinQ's memory for games and applications is just as good as LG Velvet's one, both of them have a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and exactly the same 128 GB internal storage. The LG Velvet features improved battery life than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 4300mAh battery size.

Although LG Velvet is a better device, it costs more money than LG G8 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G8 ThinQ. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the LG G8 ThinQ, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
