LG Velvet is much better than LG Q8, having a overall score of 87.1 against 77.2. The LG Velvet body has the same thickness than LG Q8, but it is heavier. LG Velvet features a bit superior CPU than LG Q8, because it has a larger number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory. LG Q8 has a better looking display than LG Velvet, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a better pixel density.
The LG Velvet shoots better photos and videos than LG Q8, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, a F1.8 aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the LG Velvet also has a camera in the back with way more mega pixels and a way larger camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality.
LG Velvet features a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG Q8, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 1,95 TB, the LG Velvet also has more internal storage. The LG Velvet features a way better battery performance than LG Q8, because it has a 43 percent bigger battery size.
