The LG Velvet is slightly better than the LG V40 ThinQ, having an 87.1 score against 81.2. The LG Velvet is a newer cellphone than the LG V40 ThinQ, although it's just a bit heavier and a little thicker. LG V40 ThinQ features a little sharper display than LG Velvet, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels number per inch of screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px.

The LG V40 ThinQ features a bit more powerful processing unit than LG Velvet. They have 8 processing cores and the same RAM amount. The LG Velvet has a bigger storage for games and applications than LG V40 ThinQ, and although they both have an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG Velvet also has 128 GB internal storage capacity.

LG Velvet has longer battery performance than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has a 4300mAh battery capacity instead of 3300mAh. The LG Velvet takes better photos and videos than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for taking photos and video in low light environments and slower video frame rate, and they both have the same video quality, the LG Velvet also counts with a much more mega pixels camera and a way larger back camera sensor.

The LG Velvet costs more money than the LG V40 ThinQ, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
