Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a global score of 97.6, which is better than the LG Velvet's 87.1 global score. Samsung Galaxy Fold's body is somewhat thinner but incredibly heavier than LG Velvet, and they were released only 8 months apart. The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a bit better processing unit than LG Velvet, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has 6 GB more RAM.
LG Velvet features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 2460 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better display density. Galaxy Fold has just a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG Velvet, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity.
LG Velvet counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Fold, because although it has worse video frame rate and a tinier camera aperture which is not good for taking photographs or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the LG Velvet also counts with a way larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality and a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Galaxy Fold features just a bit longer battery life than LG Velvet, because it has a 4380mAh battery size against 4300mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Fold is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG Velvet, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG Velvet. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the LG Velvet, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
