The LG Velvet has a global score of 87.1, which is just a bit better than Galaxy M40's overall score of 85. The LG Velvet construction has the same thickness than Galaxy M40, but it is a bit heavier. Galaxy M40 has a screen that is just as good as the display in LG Velvet, because although the Galaxy M40 has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit greater display pixel density.
The LG Velvet has a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M40, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the LG Velvet also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1,95 TB. The LG Velvet features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy M40. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and 6 GB of RAM memory.
The LG Velvet has superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 23 percent larger battery capacity. LG Velvet counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low light images, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the LG Velvet also counts with a much bigger camera sensor which gives a way better photo and video quality and a camera with way more MP.
