The LG Velvet has an overall score of 87.1, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note5's 80.2 global score. The LG Velvet construction is a lot newer than the Samsung Galaxy Note5's, although it is a little bit heavier and a little thicker. Galaxy Note5 features just a bit better display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better pixel quantity per screen inch and a slightly higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.

The LG Velvet counts with a much greater storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal storage capacity. LG Velvet has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note5, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG Velvet also has more RAM.

The LG Velvet takes much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the LG Velvet also has a much bigger back camera sensor which gives a way higher photo and video quality, a back camera with way more megapixels and a larger camera aperture.

LG Velvet features a much better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
