Comparison review
LG Velvet has a score of 87.1, which is a bit better than Galaxy S5's score of 80.8. Although the LG Velvet is heavier than Galaxy S5, it's a bit thinner and noticeably newer. Galaxy S5 counts with a better display than LG Velvet, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixel amount per inch in the screen.
Galaxy S5 features just a bit better hardware performance than LG Velvet, because although it has lesser CPU cores and 3 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a GPU. The LG Velvet counts with a much better memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory.
The LG Velvet takes much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the LG Velvet also has a much higher 48 MP resolution camera, a lot bigger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a bigger aperture to take better photography in low-light situations.
The LG Velvet has a much longer battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
