The Xperia 5 II is a bit better than the LG Velvet, with a general score of 87.2 against 87.1. Xperia 5 II is a just a bit lighter cellphone than the LG Velvet, but both have the same thickness. Xperia 5 II counts with a little bit better screen than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher display pixels density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520.

Xperia 5 II features just a little better performance than LG Velvet, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a larger amount of RAM. The LG Velvet takes clearer pictures and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor which offers a lower photo and video quality, slower 30 frames per second video frame rate and a smaller camera aperture which is not good for low-light images and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the LG Velvet also counts with a way more mega-pixels camera.

The LG Velvet has a greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia 5 II, and although they both have equal internal storage, the LG Velvet also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG Velvet counts with just a bit better battery performance than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has an 8 percent greater battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is way more expensive than LG Velvet, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG Velvet. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get LG Velvet, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
