The LG Velvet has a score of 87.1, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8's 83.3 overall score. LG Velvet's construction is newer, but just a bit heavier and a little thicker than the Xiaomi Mi 8. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a little better hardware performance than LG Velvet. They have a Octa-Core processor and a 6 GB RAM.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a bit better screen than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2248, it also counts with a quite better screen pixel density. LG Velvet shoots much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the LG Velvet also has a way bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and a camera with way more megapixels.
