The Galaxy A01 has a score of 71.6, which is a bit better than Motorola DROID MAXX 2's global score of 67.7. Galaxy A01's body is much newer, noticeably thinner and lighter than the Motorola DROID MAXX 2. Both of these phones come with Android OS, but the Galaxy A01 has a newer 11 version while Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has Android 5.1, so it gives a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy A01, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Motorola DROID MAXX 2 also has a larger camera aperture and a camera in the back with a much higher resolution. Motorola DROID MAXX 2 features improved battery life than Galaxy A01, because it has 3630mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
