HTC Hero S has a general score of 55.8, which is a little bit better than Motorola Droid X's 53.7 global score. Both of these phones use the same Android 2.3 OS (Operating System), so both should provide the user identical OS features. Although the HTC Hero S is somewhat thicker than the Motorola Droid X, it's somewhat lighter and also newer.
The HTC Hero S has a bit faster processor than Motorola Droid X, and although they both have the same number of cores, the HTC Hero S also has a greater amount of RAM. The Motorola Droid X counts with a bit better display than HTC Hero S, because although it has a little worse resolution of 854 x 480px and a bit less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a quite larger display.
The Motorola Droid X has more memory to install games and applications than HTC Hero S, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB, the Motorola Droid X also has 2,66 GB more internal memory capacity. Motorola Droid X features just a little better battery duration than HTC Hero S, because it has 1540mAh of battery capacity.
The HTC Hero S shoots better photographs and videos than Motorola Droid X, although it has a way lower 5 MP resolution camera in the back and a worse 1280x720 video resolution.
Despite of being the best phone in our current comparison, the HTC Hero S is also the cheapest one.
