Sony Xperia 10 II is just a bit better than Motorola Edge 40, getting a overall score of 78.5 against 77.2. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia 10 II has the older 10 version and Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13. Even though the Sony Xperia 10 II is incredibly older and a bit thicker than Motorola Edge 40, it's body is still a little lighter.
Sony Xperia 10 II has a much more powerful processing unit than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Motorola Edge 40 features a little more vivid screen than Xperia 10 II, because although it has a little lower screen density and a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2400px, it also counts with a quite larger display.
Motorola Edge 40 takes much better photographs and videos than Xperia 10 II, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a lot bigger aperture to take better photography and videos in low light environments, a way larger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality videos and photographs and a camera with a much better 50 MP resolution.
Sony Xperia 10 II has much more storage to store more games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 10 II also has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB. Motorola Edge 40 has greater battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 10 II, because it has a 22 percent greater battery size.
