The Moto G Stylus has an overall score of 79.7, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ2's 79.1 score. The Moto G Stylus is a noticeably newer cellphone, and it's also thinner and just a little lighter than the Xperia XZ2. Sony Xperia XZ2 has a bit more powerful CPU than Motorola Moto G Stylus. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit.

The Xperia XZ2 counts with a slightly better screen than Motorola Moto G Stylus, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display. Moto G Stylus shoots clearer photographs and videos than Xperia XZ2, because although it has lower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Moto G Stylus also counts with a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a lot more mega-pixels back camera and a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and videos in poorly lited environments.

Moto G Stylus features a very superior memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity. Moto G Stylus has improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3180mAh.
