Sony Xperia 1 V is much better than Moto X Pure Edition (2015), having a general score of 82.7 against 74.1. The Sony Xperia 1 V body is much newer and noticeably thinner, but just a little heavier than the Moto X Pure Edition (2015). The Sony Xperia 1 V counts with a little sharper display than Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015), because it has a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen, a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a quite larger display.

The Moto X Pure Edition (2015) has an extremely better processing unit than Xperia 1 V, although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster) and lesser RAM memory. The Xperia 1 V features a way better camera than Moto X Pure Edition (2015), and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 V also has a way larger sensor, faster video frame rates, a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos and a much higher 48 MP resolution back-facing camera.

The Xperia 1 V has a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Moto X Pure Edition (2015), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Xperia 1 V counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015), because it has a 5000mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh.
