The Moto Z Play features a much bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Apple iPhone XS Max, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. IPhone XS Max features a superior processing unit than Motorola Moto Z Play, because although it has 2 less cores , it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a 64 bits processor.
The Moto Z Play has a bit superior battery life than iPhone XS Max, because it has a 3510mAh battery capacity instead of 3179mAh. IPhone XS Max shoots slightly better videos and photos than Moto Z Play, because although it has a camera in the back with a way worse 12 MP resolution and a lower (4K) video resolution, it also counts with a larger camera aperture.
Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z Play. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Apple iPhone XS Max, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto Z Play, resigning some specifications.
