The Samsung Galaxy M30s is better than Moto Z Play, with an 83.3 score against 74.4. Although Samsung Galaxy M30s is extremely newer than the Moto Z Play, it's somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy M30s has the previous 11 version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Samsung Galaxy M30s has a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy M30s also has 1 GB more RAM memory. Galaxy M30s counts with just a bit better screen than Moto Z Play, because it has a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a larger display and a just a little better screen density.
Moto Z Play features a slightly better memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M30s, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Galaxy M30s shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Galaxy M30s also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels.
Galaxy M30s has a much longer battery duration than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3510mAh.
