Galaxy S6 edge+ is a little bit better than the Moto Z Play, with a global score of 79.3 against 74.4. Galaxy S6 edge+ is an older phone than the Moto Z Play, but Samsung managed to build it a little lighter and just a bit thinner anyway. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 edge+ has the older 5.1 version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a brighter screen than Moto Z Play, because it has a better resolution of 2560 x 1440px, a quite larger display and a better pixels number in each inch of display. Motorola Moto Z Play has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has lesser RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores.

The Motorola Moto Z Play counts with a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. Moto Z Play has a little better battery performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 3510mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a back facing camera with a 16 megapixels resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ also has a bigger aperture for better low light images and videos.

Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto Z Play. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Moto Z Play, giving up a couple specifications.
