The Sony Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than the Moto Z Play, with a 78.3 score against 74.4. The Sony Xperia XZ1 body is newer and a little lighter, but also a little bit thicker than Moto Z Play. The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a little bit better looking display than Motorola Moto Z Play, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 1920px, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a little bit higher count of pixels per inch of display.

The Xperia XZ1 features a better storage for games and applications than Moto Z Play, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 1,95 TB, the Xperia XZ1 also has more internal storage capacity. The Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia XZ1 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
