Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ2 has a score of 79.1, which is just a bit better than the Moto Z Play's 74.4 global score. Sony Xperia XZ2's body is newer, but somewhat heavier and thicker than the Moto Z Play. The Sony Xperia XZ2 has a bit better display than Moto Z Play, because it has a little greater pixels quantity in each inch in the display, a slightly better 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a quite larger display.
The Motorola Moto Z Play features more storage capacity for applications and games than Xperia XZ2, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xperia XZ2 has just a bit better performance than Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia XZ2 also has more RAM memory.
Moto Z Play features just a little better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2, because it has a 10% bigger battery capacity. Sony Xperia XZ2 features a much better camera than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a same size aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also has a more megapixels back facing camera and better 60 frames per second video frame rates.
