Motorola Moto Z has a global score of 74.5, which is a little bit better than Moto X4's 74.4 overall score. Despite of the fact that the Motorola Moto Z is older than the Moto X4, it's design is lighter and way thinner. Moto Z features a little more vivid display than Moto X4, because it has a little bit larger screen, a better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
The Motorola Moto X4's memory capacity to install games and applications is just as good as the Moto Z one, they have the same internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. Moto X4 features a little faster processor than Motorola Moto Z, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a larger number of cores.
The Moto X4 features a little bit better camera than Moto Z, although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for shooting photos in poorly lited situations, a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with lesser mega-pixels. The Moto X4 has just a bit better battery duration than Moto Z, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity against 2600mAh.
Although Moto Z is a better device, it costs a bit more money than the Moto X4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto X4. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Moto X4, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
